Children & Youth
Q: Will you be responsible for seeing that the child you present is brought up in the Christian faith and life? A: I will, with God’s help.
– Vow made by parents at the Rite of Holy Baptism (Book of Common Prayer, p. 302)
In the Episcopal Church, it is the parent’s responsibility to educate children in the faith, a promise that parents make at the baptism of their child. St. Peter’s through its Sunday School and other education programs, seeks to support and compliment the work of the parents in bringing up our youth in the Christian tradition. Parents are encouraged to register and bring their children to Sunday School every week and to utilize the materials the children bring home to continue that education throughout the week.

St. Peter's Youth Group
St. Peter’s Youth Group is for all High School and Middle School parishioners.
We hang out in our own space in the second floor of St. Peter’s Annex Building. During the school year, we meet Sunday afternoons from 4pm to 5:30pm, unless we have some other activity or event we’re involved in.
All youth Grades 6 – 12 are welcomed to be part of St. Peter's Youth Group – sometimes the high school and middle schoolers will meet separately, and sometimes we’ll all be together, depending on what’s going on that Sunday.
For more information, contact Youth Group Leader Mr. Atif Gaddis.
St. Peter’s Church awards two scholarships each year. The Van der Bogart scholarship is open to any resident of Wicomico County. The Reeves scholarship is awarded to a member of St. Peter’s Church. Click here for more information.
