More About St. Peter's Sunday School!

St. Peter's Sunday School welcomes all children ages 3-Grade 5. We meet in our St. Peter's Education Annex each Sunday between the 9 am service and the 11 am service. Teachers are church members who have gone through background checks and training. We always have 2 adults in each classroom per our Safeguarding God's Children guidelines. We use a curriculum that is lectionary based, meaning the lesson is associated with one of the readings from the church service. We want children to associate what they hear in church with a lesson that they can relate to. During the year we are involved with outreach, making bags of personal supplies for students at our partner school Wi-Middle. We also make cards for parishioners and those in the community who need cheering up. We visit our neighbors at John B. Parsons Assisted Living and spend time with residents. Each winter we make dignity bags filled with personal supplies for our homeless men who stay in our church for a week. We enjoy a yearly visit from the Bishop who loves to teach us a lesson. There is also an Advent party, Lent Activity, Easter Egg Hunt, and End of Year Party Annually. Sunday school takes a break between Thanksgiving and Christmas for a Christmas Pageant.

Vacation Bible School

St. Peter's participates in a combined Wicomico County Episcopal Churches Vacation Bible School. In July 2019, St. Alban's hosted VBS, using a creative version of Harry Potter. We enjoyed the fun of being sorted into Houses of Hogwarts and then hearing the story of Jesus calling his disciples.

The 2021 VBS, at St. Peter's, will be based on the Harry Potter story, The Chamber of Secrets, using Bible stories. We look forward to more fun at next summer's VBS!

St. Peter's Youth Group

St. Peter’s Youth Group is for all High School and Middle School parishioners.

Coming soon! Plans for Youth in process!  Weekly communications continue to be sent by our Youth Group Leader, Mr. Atif Gaddis.
