Sacrament of Confirmation
Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop.
It is required of those to be confirmed that they have been baptized, are sufficiently instructed in the Christian Faith, are penitent for their sins, and are ready to affirm their confession of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (BCP p. 860)

The Bishop of Easton makes his annual visitation to St. Peter's the Sunday nearest our Patronal Feast of the Confession of St. Peter on January 18. At that time he administers the Sacrament of Confirmation. To receive the sacrament, candidates must have completed instruction. For adults, that means taking the Inquirer's Class this fall — See Inquirers Class Page for more information.
