SUMMARY:Election Day Evening Prayer
DESCRIPTION:The Diocese’s Southern Convocation clergy are gathering for their monthly worship and meeting next Tuesday\, November 5\, which is also Election Day. They will meet at St. Alban’s in Salisbury for a special Evening Prayer which will focus on prayers and readings for our nation and the election. The clergy are inviting all clergy and lay people from the Southern Convocation to join them and participate in Evening Prayer. Father David Michaud\, our Rector and the Dean of the Southern Convocation\, will be there and encourages members of St. Peter’s to come to St. Alban’s for this special Evening Prayer at 5:30 p.m. on November 5. Note that St. Alban’s will be open all day for a vigil on Election Day. \nPrayer for Elections\nAlmighty God\, to whom we must account for all our powers and privileges: Guide the people of the United States in the election of officials and representatives; that\, by faithful administration and wise laws\, the rights of all may be protected and our nation be enabled to fulfill your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. DESCRIPTION:St. Peter’s Choir will lead a service of Evensong on All Saints Sunday\, November 3 at 5 p.m. in the church and all are invited to attend. SUMMARY:Blessing of the Animals
DESCRIPTION:It is traditional in Episcopal churches to hold a Blessing of the Animals on the Sunday closest to St. Francis of Assisi’s feast day on October 4 (St. Francis is the patron saint of animals). St. Peter’s will hold its annual blessing on Sunday\, October 6 at 4 p.m. in the courtyard. All animals and their human companions are invited to participate.

SUMMARY:Wicomico Goes Purple Service
DESCRIPTION:St. Peter’s is partnering with Wicomico Goes Purple — a substance misuse awareness campaign that focuses on prevention\, treatment and recovery resources available in our community. The Wicomico Goes Purple initiative encourages people to get the facts\, get involved\, and start talking so that together we can help shatter the stigma of addiction.  This September we have been praying the prayer for the victims of addiction during the Prayers of the People and we are lighting up our bell tower at night in purple light. \nThis Saturday join in the Shatter the Stigma Walk at 9:30 a.m. at Wor-Wic Community College. Click here for more info. This Sunday afternoon\, St. Peter’s will be hosting a Meditation of Hope and Remembrance in the church at 4 p.m. All are invited to attend.
