St. Peter's Holiday Bazaar & Marketplace

Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Peter's:

It is almost time for St. Peter’s annual Fall Bazaar, and we need your help! This event is our major fund raiser every year. Proceeds help the church to fund the many ministries that we do every year. These funds are very much needed! This year’s Bazaar will again be on the third Friday and Saturday of November – November 17 and 18 -- and will be in conjunction with Salisbury’s Third Friday.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! Coming together to plan and put on this important event is FELLOWSHIP. It is a fun way to come together as a Parish family and to spend time together. There is something to do for everyone. This year’s Bazaar will include the following attractions:

  • King Boys oyster fritters on Friday night
  • Bake sale items
  • Upscale gift baskets and special items (silent auction) for Christmas gifting
  • Gift certificates
  • Pre-sales for chicken salad, chili, and Maryland crab soup
  • Santa’s Workshop (a special booth for children’s items)

Please prayerfully consider helping in one of these ways:

  • Making pies, cakes, breakfast pastries, biscuits, etc.
  • Making home canned fruits, veggies, soups, etc.
  • Making an upscale gift basket or special item/activity for silent auction
  • Helping make pre-sale food items (chicken salad, soup, chili)
  • Help serve food at the Bazaar
  • Putting out signage for advertising
  • Pricing items
  • Help with collection of money from sales
  • Setting up and decorating for Bazaar
  • Taking down after Bazaar
  • Giving any amount of time you can to help with this

Please consider what you are able to do to help with this important event in our parish life.

There is a sign-up sheet in the Parlor where you can volunteer to help in any number of ways. If you have any questions, please contact a Committee member. Thank you for your help with this Bazaar!

As the parish gear ups for our annual church bazaar on November 17 and 18, it's that time of year again to search high and low for treasures that have been hiding away in your homes. This year, Bazaar Committee Co-Chairs Hope Morgan and Bravard Cornbrooks are excited to announce an expansion of the Bazaar’s offerings to include outerwear, such as coats, hats, gloves, and scarves, in addition to our usual selection of jewelry, dishes, art work and furniture.

They invite all members of the congregation to participate in this treasure hunt by searching through your attics, basements, and closets for items that are no longer needed but can find new life and purpose at our bazaar. Your contributions can help support our church and community outreach efforts.

Here's how you can get involved:

  1. Donate Your Treasures:Please consider donating any gently used or new items you no longer need, including jewelry, dishes, art work, furniture, and outerwear (coats, hats, gloves, scarves). Your contributions will go a long way in making our bazaar a success.
  2. Drop-off Location:Please drop off at church downstairs in church hall.   Please drop-off during church open hours.
  3. Benefiting Wi-Middle:All remaining clothing items will be donated to Wi-Middle, helping to keep our community warm during the winter months. Your generosity will make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
  4. Save the Date:Mark your calendars for our church bazaar, where you can not only shop for unique treasures but also enjoy fellowship with your fellow parishioners. Stay tuned for more details.

November 17th and 18th.    Check us out on Facebook and please share our posts.

Your contributions and support are greatly appreciated, and they help us continue our mission to serve both our church and our wider community. Let's come together as a congregation to unearth those hidden treasures and make our upcoming bazaar a memorable and successful event.  Thank you for your generosity.
