The Very Rev. David Michaud

Rector

Father David Michaud has been Rector of St. Peter’s, Salisbury Parish since May of 2013. He has been the Dean of the Southern Convocation of the Diocese of Easton since November 2021.

He graduated from the General Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree with Honors in May 2007, was ordained to the Diaconate on June 2, 2007 and ordained to the priesthood on December 21, 2007. His Senior Honors Thesis was the first in-depth history of the Diocese of Easton, which can be found on the diocesan website:  https://dioceseofeaston.org/about/history/.

During his tenure at St. Peter's the parish has seen growth and has made improvements to its buildings and grounds thanks to a successful capital campaign. Father David has instituted daily prayer in the church and enjoys teaching a variety of religious courses and studies throughout the year. In 2018 our Rector was involved in many efforts to celebrate the parish's 250th Anniversary, including a pilgrimage trip to England.  During the pandemic he led efforts to establish permanent livestreaming of worship services. Father David is likely the only Rector of St. Peter’s to have grown up in Salisbury, attending St. Francis School and Wicomico High in Salisbury.  He received his Bachelor of Arts cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley.

Father David is also co-chair of the Diocesan Discernment Committee, Provost of St. Peter's Pro-Cathedral and co-chair of the Diocesan Convention Planning Committee. He also has consulted with the national church’s General Convention Office and has been a member of the General Convention Secretariat for the past seven General Conventions.

Father David chairs the Worship Committee and works with the Property, Finance, Education, SPACE and Outreach Committees.

Father David is married to Kelli Michaud, who is a community health nurse.  They have two grown daughters, Erin and Maggie, who live in the Richmond area.

Megan Fenoglietto

Director of Grace Notes

Megan Fenoglietto is the Director of Grace Notes Handbell Choir at St Peter’s. Her goal is to foster a love for music and grow the musical abilities of St. Peter's ringers. She works to create an environment where the ringers can “know and share the love of Christ” through their music. She prefers music that is a healthy mix of traditional church hymns and contemporary pieces at an appropriate musical level for the ringers. Megan had an early experience playing handbells with an after school class in middle school. Megan continued her involvement and passion in music through high school and college playing instruments such as the flute, piccolo, saxophone, and mellophone in marching and concert bands. She also served as the marching band drum major for two years in high school and two years in college. Megan joined St Peter’s handbell choir as a playing member in 2009 and became the director in 2016. Grace Notes has grown to be an integral part of St Peter’s music ministries and Megan feels blessed to be a part of such an amazing group.
