PARKING AT ST. PETER’S CHURCH, SALISBURY 

 

On Saturday in downtown Salisbury, parking is FREE on all streets and municipal parking lots.

Parking

We are recommending that convention participants park in the parking garage or Parking Lot 1 and walk two blocks to the church.  There are hundreds of spaces available.  A Shuttle is available that makes stops at these parking locations and the church, both before and after convention. There may also be parking on city streets nearby. Please do not park on Church Street or Lot 4: they are reserved for handicapped parking.

Handicapped Parking

For handicapped parking we are recommending using the church parking lot and angled parking on Church Street and Parking Lot No. 4 accessible from Church Street.

Dropping Off

Church Street can also be used to drop off passengers at the church.  Signs and attendants will guide you to the drop off location.

DIRECTIONS TO PARKING LOTS

From Route 50 heading East

Take Business 50 into town.  After passing the Perdue plant and crossing the river, make a right onto Division Street (two stop lights).  Go two blocks (two stop signs) to Circle Ave.  Take a left for the parking garage (entrance will be on your left) or a right for Parking Lot 1 (entrance will be on your right).

From Route 50 heading West

Take Business 50 into town. After going under the underpasses, take a left at the light onto Division Street. Go two blocks (two stop signs) to Circle Ave.  Take a left for the parking garage (entrance will be on your left) or a right for Parking Lot 1 (entrance will be on your right).

From Route 13 heading South

Take Business 13 into town, about 2.5 miles south of the bypass turnoff.  After going past the Quinta Inn Hotel take a right at the light at Carroll St.  Take the first right on Division St., go over the bridge.  At the first stop sign, at Circle Avenue, take a right for the parking garage (entrance will be on your left) or a left for Parking Lot 1 (entrance will be on your right).

From Route 13 heading North

Take Business 13 north into town, about 7.5 miles to downtown from the bypass turnoff. After going past Tidal Health Hospital take the next left at the light at Carroll St.  Take the first right on Division St., go over the bridge.  At the first stop sign, at Circle Avenue, take a right for the parking garage (entrance will be on your left) or a left for Parking Lot 1 (entrance will be on your right).

 

DIRECTIONS TO HANDICAPPED PARKING AND PASSENGER DROP OFF

From Route 50 heading East

Take Business 50 into town.  After passing the Perdue plant and crossing the river, make a right onto Mill Street (first stop light) and an immediate left onto Church St.  An attendant should direct you to the closest handicapped parking.  If you are dropping off passengers, proceed to stop sign and then an attendant should direct you where to stop on the right to let off passengers to enter the Parish House for registration.

Furniture on the left, make a right onto Broad Street, following signs to Rt 50 West.  Take your first left from Broad Street to merge onto Rt. 50, and immediately get in the left-hand lane.  Make left on Mill Street (second light) and then an immediate left onto Church St.  An attendant should direct you to the closest handicapped parking.  If you are dropping off passengers, proceed to stop sign and then an attendant should direct you where to stop on the right to let off passengers to enter the Parish House for registration.

From Route 13 heading North

Take Business 13 north into town, about 7.5 miles to downtown from the bypass turnoff. After crossing the river get in the left hand lane and turn left at the light at Broad Street, following the signs to Rt 50 West.
