Blessing of the Animals

It is traditional in Episcopal churches to hold a Blessing of the Animals on the Sunday closest to St. Francis of Assisi’s feast day on October 4 (St. Francis is the patron saint of animals). St. Peter’s will hold its annual blessing on Sunday, October 6 at 4 p.m. in the courtyard. All animals and their human companions are invited to participate.
